Person B: he doesn't watch the news.

Person A: how can you NOT have heard about the riots in france? that's so embarrassing!

Person B: it's very embarrassing.

Me: what about the internet? it was on the internet.

Person A: yeah, it was on the INTERNET.

Person B: well, it may have been on the internet, but not the part he was looking at.

okay, i met buxon s. at a job a year ago - right after the tsunami hit. i totally could tell that she didn't even know it happened; she was so wrapped up in the wonderful world of SAP.

i purposely brought the newspapers from my hotel and placed them strategically so that she could see them. it was only when i placed one in the FOOD section of our workplace that she walked by and saw the headline whereby close to 300,000 people had been killed. i watched her pick up the paper and say, "what's this? what's going on?"

Oh my GOD. People need to get it together, okay, because first of all CNN is fun times and you don't even have to know how to read AND secondly Buxom S needs to stop that. It reminds me of my co-worker I told you about who upon the morning of 9-11 said, "oh well, people die every day. I bought pink slippers last night." I was disgusted and appalled and will never ever forget the invisible flag of ignorance waving over her head. BAD. - kjc

PS: I hope you didn't let that person have dessert. Didn't those riots last for like 2 weeks solid? Come on now. Oh, someone said there's something going on in Iraq... Does anyone know anything about that? - kjc
