whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer...
i'm miserable. i'm disconsolate. i'm languid and forlorn. i'm insolvent and impecunious. i'm crying. i'm headachy. i'm tempestuous and temperamental.
i'm sullen.
i heard a thud, a clunk, and a crash. my ten-year-old aloe jumped to his death.
clay pot broken. mud asunder. cat inquisitive.
he couldn't stand me any more.

I also have experienced plant suicide... A strange and disturbing phenomenon.
I think he was killed by the wind.
while it is true that we did endure some wonderful, early season, thunderstorms yesterday, my dear aloe plant, paco, committed suicide the day previous.
maybe it was just a cry for help...did you even check for a pulse before burial? if Paco REALLY wanted to die, why didn't he jump the other way - out the window?
And now - A moment of silence - For Paco.
Oh NO. Stop. Just stop. First off, replant the little guy. If you found someone half dead in a bathtub would you be all, "Well. That's it for you." NO. So get out there into that sunshine and buy that plant a new pot. And SMILE. It's okay. It's going to get better. I swear it will. - kjc
